I am a lighting and look development artist, as well as recent graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Visual Effects and minor in technical direction. For me, a career in visual effects has been an ideal way of combining my strengths in math and science with my love of the arts and film. I further realized my passion for this field while gaining experience as a CG Lighting Intern at Framestore NY this past summer, and since then I absolutely cannot wait to see where this career takes me.
After my internship, I was able to immediately put what I learned into practice as lead artist on my collaborative senior thesis Tagged. Throughout this project, I had a great time developing a basic pipeline and custom tools in python for both Maya and Nuke. These tools became essential to our workflow and saved us an immense amount of time, and I plan to continue building upon my scripting knowledge throughout my career.
